And just when you thought things could not get worse for HD DVD, Variety has reported that the only two major supporters remaining in the HD DVD camp may bail ship as well.  According to Variety, Paramount Pictures "has an escape clause in its HD DVD contract allowing it to release pics on Blu-ray after Warner Bros.' decision to back that format exclusively." (More details in post)

Feedback - What Blu-ray player would you recommend that I buy?  Now that the momentum seems to have shifted I am comfortable purchasing a Blu-ray player and would love a little guidance?

Windows - Issues Setting Default Browser

Setting your default browser should be a rather simple task in both Windows XP & Vista. Just right-click on the "Start" menu, choose "Properties", click the "Start Menu" tab and "Customize". You are presented with a handy dropdown menu that allows you to choose between the different installed web browsers on your machine. That's all she wrote, right? Well, not if you have installed Opera, or at least the latest Opera Beta (9.50b)...

Media Sharing Bug Fix for Windows Vista

I ran into a bug when trying to share my media with my XBox 360. Each time I tried to enable the sharing through the Network and Sharing Center in Windows Vista Ultimate I received this error message: Media sharing is currently disabled, either because the sharing service is no longer running or your firewall settings have changed. The IPhone: A New Look

In case you didn't already know I am a Microsoft developer. I strongly dislike the "I'm better than you because I have a Mac" attitude. I think a lot of Apple's products are pretty awesome - they just aren't for me. That said...check out this HILARIOUS video...

My New Computer - Sweetness!

Now that I have turned my personal laptop into nothing more than a desktop, I decided to purchase a desktop after seeing what a friend was putting together for such a great price (shout-out to Troy). I purchased it piece-for-piece and will be assembling it myself this weekend (hopefully) - makes me think of the good old Eagle Technologies days...

Glaring Downfall of USB

I cannot recall how much time I've spent crawling under my desk trying to get to an open USB hub for a connection of some sort. What has also irked me about USB technology in general is that it requires you to connect the cord in a certain way...
