I was catching up on the news I missed this weekend while attending a hockey tournament that left me sore and disappointed when I came across a story from ESPN.com announcing the release of the NFL widgets. Despite that poor timing (the season ends in less than a week), these widgets are pretty dang cool. I have embedded the NFL Top Story Widget at the bottom of this post to show an example.
Widgets are available for all of the categories listed below. There are also a few gadgets for some ESPN.com frontpage content (Top Story, Poll, Spotlight, Men's NCAA Rankings). In fact, I'm also including the Spotlight widget below since I think that is my favorite of the bunch.
